When I was a kid, our mom went to Japan and sent us a box of instant ramen noodles. She sent a few variety but the one that stays in my memory was the Seafood Cup Noodles.
I’m not talking about the Cup Noodles for import (Blue container). This cup noodles didn’t change at all since I’ve tried it back in 1999.
It’s not something I would eat everyday since it’s full of sodium like any other instant noodles. But I want to try it again. I couldn’t really find any stores here in Canada that sells this original Seafood Cup Noodles. We only found 2 cups in a Korean Grocery store. When we came back to that store, they don’t sell it anymore.
To this day, I’m still hunting for this noodles and hopefully they sell it here in Canada.
When you open it, you’ll be greeted with lots of fillings such as imitation crab, dried octopus and some kind of egg yolk. The smell alone you will know it’s going to be delicious. All you need is to fill the cup with boiling water to the line, close the lid using a small plate, and wait.
And voalá! Feast and savour the flavour of this amazing noodles. I just can’t get enough of it. With luck, you can probably find some on Amazon but it won’t be cheap.
